- Unlimited wifi is included, access to wifi is throughout the Lodge.
- The lodge has 6 permanent beds, plus 4 Foldout beds, it is ideal for large groups to stay in 1 location.

Cancellation Policy:
At the time of your reservation we will require a 50% deposit to secure your booking.
The remainder of your fee will be due 7 days before check in date.
If you need to cancel 30 days before your check in date you will be refunded 100% after (30 days your deposit will only be refunded if we can book those dates)
The total fee is paid at 7 days before check in. During those remaining 7 days if a cancelation occurs you will only be refunded if we can re-book those dates.
We advise you to ensure that you have adequate travel insurance to protect you against unforeseen changes to your travel plans.
The exception to the above is: In the case of NZ alert levels changing and this impacts your ability to travel, all fees will be 100% refunded regardless of how many days before check in a cancellation needs to be made.

The deck is large, views over fields and the Hunter Hills. A quiet rural location The lounge is spacious and comfortable. The bedrooms and bathrooms provide comfort and functionality. Check in/check out times are flexible, whenever possible.
Outdoor dining
We have an outdoor seating and dining area with great views. Also a covered area for rainy days. We offer a large BBQ included in our price.

4 Foldout beds with clean sleeping bags. 1 air mattress. Extra Pillows, Linen and Bedding. Unlimited Wifi. Handsoap and Bodywash. Nespresso Coffee. Marley Bluetooth Speaker. Pets can come too. (by special arrangement). We offer Babysitting Services. (by special arrangement).

A halfway point to stop for a night if you are travelling the South Island. You can go inland to Queenstown. Or carry on SH1.... north to Christchuch...south to Dunedin. The Mackenzie Country with a choice of 3 Skifields is a 1 hour drive away. Akatere Lodge is located at the base of the Hunter Hills. GREAT VIEWS all around. EXPLORE SOUTH CANTERBURY: Mountain biking Walking tracks Riverstone Kitchens/Gardens/unique shopping. Penguin Colony and Historic Buildings located in Oamaru. Beaches nearby Fishing.
